CUSTOM AMERICAN FLAG JEAN JACKETS FROM D.FAME
Ok- so a wise woman once told me that fashion always follows current events and in a time when politics are becoming more prevelant because of the Presidential race it’s no shocker that fashion isn’t too far behind. Recently we’ve seen Americana looks from Jeremy Scott, American Apparel, and Joyrich (just to name my favs a few)… and now we’re seeing this Custom American Flag Jean Jacket from D.Fame. It’s very similar to a Joyrich look from a few seasons before but D.Fame add an ‘ombre-like bleach gradient to the bottom… and I ain’t mad.

Today at work, I went with my boo Carly to interview the flawless Lana Del Rey for NewNowNext. I don’t hide my love for this queen, but meeting her in person solidified her spot in my heart. She couldn’t have been any more sweet, soft-spoken, and funny. I can’t wait til the interview posts!
She was dressed pretty casual. Blue jeans & studded flats, t-shirt, and a bomber style black leather jacket. Her nail game was TIGHT – she mixes metals and wore a two finger gold ring… a woman after my own heart.

KICKS OF THE DAY: LEOPARD PONY HAIR ROYAL COLLECTION FROM SUPRA
Welp my New Jeers is off to a poor start… but COME ONNNN… a guy can only resist leopard pony hair low-tops for so long!
It was a tough decision between the half leopard, half black Cuttler high-top or the all leopard Assault low-top. I like the asymmetry of the half and half Wrap low-top but I just can’t get down with the Wrap model. After much debate, I went with the all leopard low because I like my high-tops to the sky and I’m a sucker for a leopard color block… and Beyoncé.

JOYRICH SS2012 MEGA-POST: MY TOP 5 FAV LOOKS
I was so happy to be able to have one of my favorite brands, Joyrich, release their Spring/Summer 2012 Lookbook exclusively with MTVstyle last week. Have a look at the video below and check out the post here.
I took the liberty of adding my mug to my Top 5 Fav pieces from this collection (in no particular order) so you can get the full effect:
01- These dollar print shorts (and matching hoodie, not shown) are everything and I’m in love with the Joyrich Bear crewneck sweater.
02- Obv, this leopard and star print t-shit. It might as well have my name mixed in with the pattern.
03- Floral Print Hoodie… YES PLEASE!
04- LOVE LOVE LOVE the graphic print short sleeved button down. I wouldn’t mind those crayons either…
05- I’m a huge fan of layering (I know I’m not alone) and I’m midly obsessed with all things denim, especially denim jackets and this salmon/pink denim jacket is a must.
This is by far one of the strongest Joyrich collections I’ve seen to date – major props go out to the ‘Rich Team: Leah Schmidt & David Melgar (Leah, I used your last names!!) for making it happen. Keep it comin’! (And big up to my boy T.Kyle from RealityTVGifs for hooking us up with some swagged out photos in motion.)
KICKS OF THE DAY: THE LIMITED EDITION JUST BLAZE SKYTOP II BY SUPRA
Supra teamed up with hip hop producer Just Blaze to release these supa-dupa-fly Limited Edition Just Blaze Skytop II. The only Supra I love more than a Skytop II is a Skytop I. They’re the perfect height, super comfortable, and I’m loving this limited purple on gray colorway.
The shoes will be released at Supra retailers and online at Factory 413 on Just Blaze’s birthday, January 8th. That’s… kind of amazing.

WEEKLY CAKE: #1 BACON & CHOCOLATE, AND IT WASN’T EVEN MY BIRTHDAY
I was honored to be one of the first people to try the first of 52 Weekly Cakes, a blog started by a good friend of mine, Miss Nina Spezz, wherin she bakes one cake a week for all of 2012 for a total of 52 cakes.
The first was bacon chocolate with almond buttercream frosting. I have to admit, as someone who’s not a huge fan of bacon, I was a little apprehensive about bacon in my cake… let me be the first to assure you… it was one of the best cakes I’ve ever had. It doesn’t taste like bacon as much as it just added a little salt and I love me some salted chocolate.

NEW COLLECTION FROM MELODY EHSANI: FORGET M.E. NOT – PART 1
Yesterday the goddess that is Melody Ehsani released the first part of the lookbook for her upcoming line, via Facebook and Twitter, “Forget M.E. Not.” The pieces are nothing short of amazing in all their art deco-realness.
From the pink flamingos to the modern metallics, I love every piece of this collection and I can’t wait to see my friends in it (and the second half, of course).
