Last Saturday was the Jeremy Scott meet and greet at the adidas Originals store in Soho. I had to opportunity to go support Jeremy and rock pieces of the new Spring collection. I was totally nervous at first about standing around all day in some spandex shorts with my junk hanging out but once I put them on I realized it wasn’t that bad and I was obsessed with my outfit. #thepowerofjeremyscott

The event was DJ’d by Sky Ferreira who was absolutely adorable and kept the party moving. The other models for the day were Michelle Salem, Matt Mazur, and Frankie Sharp who are some of the chillest people I’ve ever met.

It was amazing and inspiring to see the diversity of the crowd. There were people there from every walk of life, including a few parents waiting on line with their children who couldn’t have been more than 10. It was cool to see how Jeremy and his designs cross all types of social borders and everyone was there for the love of it all. The event lasted a little over two hours and because I wasn’t on the side of the line waiting to get in, I got to see a different side of Jeremy. He really is one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met. He noticeably spent time with each of his fans and really paid attention to what they had to say to him. As a fan myself, seeing that – I have so much more respect for him as a person and as a designer because that was a LONG day and he was always on.

The day was amazing, and we got to keep our outfits. The American Flag and the American Flag Wings 2.0 shoes were definitely my top two favorite pieces in the collection, so your boy lucked out.

When I saw he was the star of the first iteration of the “Masters of Style” videos by Gillette, I feared he’d sold out. Alas, I was proven wrong as he stayed true to his fresh-to-def self and remains inspirational regardless of who’s paying for the video. Here is style icon and member of OutKast André 3000 discussing what style means to him and I couldn’t agree more, right down to the facial hair being a part of his everyday and working with what you’re given. This one and a half minute video is the perfect departure from the monotony that is #NYFW.
Now get back into the studio and get us that new OUTKAST ALBUM, MY DUDE!!
What does style mean to YOU?

The sultry saddened songstress Lana Del Rockmore Rey is everywhere right now promoting her album and it’s a bit of heaven. These photos by Mario Testino for this months issue of Vogue are out and shorty is giving it to us real hard in some red satin heels and a floral one piece (my fav) and she looks… uh-may-zing. Although it’s against my religion to venture into women’s fashion, I will certainly be popping my Vogue cherry this month and getting this issue.
Check out a couple more of the photos here on Highsnobiety.

And just for the hell of it (I found this little gem on tumblr this morning):

Live fast, die young, bad girls do it well. M.I.A. released the video for her recent single “Bad Girls” off her upcoming album. As will all things M.I.A., homegirl delivers. I’m loving the glitter jumpsuit and of course the mustard yellow jacket she’s rocking above.

Out of all the places we visited in Italy over the past two weeks, Rome had to have been my favorite. It was the most “city-like” and I can’t lie… the Coliseum was maybe one of the sickest things I’ve ever seen in my life. Like… not a joke – it’s def on the same level as the Jeremy Scott x 2NE1 winged shoe collabo. #dead

Yesterday we went sledding down Rittner Horn mountain near Bolzano. I was scared out of my mind at first, especially on the gondola ride to the top but once we started it was cake. There’s less oxygen at this altitude but the air is so fresh, it’s unreal. Again, I could have done without the ratty children zooming by us at lightening speed… but whatever, I’m like so one-with-nature it’s not even funny.

Last week we looked at the Warhol/Basquiat-esqe Jeremy Scott/A$AP Rocky cover but THEN… the second cover got released and it’s my wife Lana Del Rockmore Rey. This issue of Complex might send me into a fashion/music induced coma.
Also, peep this video edit/interview from the cover shoot. Kinda makes me love each of them each a little more:
“Everybody could be like – Yo… you look fuckin’ retarded.” – Story of my life.
