WALTER VAN BEIRENDONCK X LINDA FARROW PROJECTS

I copped these little ditties from famed eyewear designer Linda Farrow while I was in LA over the weekend… and I can’t get enough. They’re Walter Van Beirendonck X Linda Farrow Projects and they’re from her Summer 2010c collection, however I’m resurrecting them for MY Summer 2012 wardrobe. With the interchangeable lenses, the possibilities are endless and sure to take your summer look to the next level. My favorite has to be the permanent angry eye… or is it the spikes? I can’t really decide actually. Anyway…

Check out Miss Farrow’s collaborations with my boy Jeremy Scott here and secure your credit card in a block of ice in the freezer before checking out the rest of her collection here.

I wanted to give Times Square a little something else to look at. Shoutout to my boo Pabs for my Jeremy Scott for adidas Originals Bondage Boots in bubble gum pink. The pad locks are so real, I can’t take it.

JOYRICH x GIZA’S 2ND COLLABORATION LAUNCHES AND IT’S EVERYTHING.

Last week, Joyrich launched their (2nd and) most recent collaboration with Japanese Artist/DJ Mademoiselle Yulia‘s line Giza and as expected – it’s GOOD.

I’m loving the classic vintage cuts and silhouettes set off by the bright and fun, jewel tone patterns that Joyrich is most known for. We’ve been waiting a while to see this collabo in full effect as Joyrich was tweeting pictures from the set months ago. If you’re not in LA and can’t make it by the store on Melrose, check out Karmaloop.com RIGHT NOW as the pieces are sure to go fast.

I’ll have one of everything. Check please!

Check out the rest of the pics after the jump. Continue reading

MEET & GREET WITH JEREMY SCOTT AT ADIDAS ORIGINALS, SOHO

Last Saturday was the Jeremy Scott meet and greet at the adidas Originals store in Soho. I had to opportunity to go support Jeremy and rock pieces of the new Spring collection. I was totally nervous at first about standing around all day in some spandex shorts with my junk hanging out but once I put them on I realized it wasn’t that bad and I was obsessed with my outfit. #thepowerofjeremyscott

The event was DJ’d by Sky Ferreira who was absolutely adorable and kept the party moving. The other models for the day were Michelle Salem, Matt Mazur, and Frankie Sharp who are some of the chillest people I’ve ever met.

It was amazing and inspiring to see the diversity of the crowd. There were people there from every walk of life, including a few parents waiting on line with their children who couldn’t have been more than 10. It was cool to see how Jeremy and his designs cross all types of social borders and everyone was there for the love of it all. The event lasted a little over two hours and because I wasn’t on the side of the line waiting to get in, I got to see a different side of Jeremy. He really is one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met. He noticeably spent time with each of his fans and really paid attention to what they had to say to him. As a fan myself, seeing that – I have so much more respect for him as a person and as a designer because that was a LONG day and he was always on.

The day was amazing, and we got to keep our outfits. The American Flag and the American Flag Wings 2.0 shoes were definitely my top two favorite pieces in the collection, so your boy lucked out.

Check back at shop.adidas.com to see what’s left of the collection.

WILDN’ & STYLIN’: TEENAGE DREAM

I went with a little early 90′s throwback after being totally inspired by the FW 2012 Jeremy Scott Collection show at Milk Studios on Wednesday.

ANDRÉ 3000 DISCUSSES STYLE FOR GILLETTE

When I saw he was the star of the first iteration of the “Masters of Style” videos by Gillette, I feared he’d sold out. Alas, I was proven wrong as he stayed true to his fresh-to-def self and remains inspirational regardless of who’s paying for the video. Here is style icon and member of OutKast André 3000 discussing what style means to him and I couldn’t agree more, right down to the facial hair being a part of his everyday and working with what you’re given. This one and a half minute video is the perfect departure from the monotony that is #NYFW.

Now get back into the studio and get us that new OUTKAST ALBUM, MY DUDE!!

What does style mean to YOU?
