ANDRÉ 3000 DISCUSSES STYLE FOR GILLETTE

When I saw he was the star of the first iteration of the “Masters of Style” videos by Gillette, I feared he’d sold out. Alas, I was proven wrong as he stayed true to his fresh-to-def self and remains inspirational regardless of who’s paying for the video. Here is style icon and member of OutKast André 3000 discussing what style means to him and I couldn’t agree more, right down to the facial hair being a part of his everyday and working with what you’re given. This one and a half minute video is the perfect departure from the monotony that is #NYFW.

Now get back into the studio and get us that new OUTKAST ALBUM, MY DUDE!!

NYFW PREVIEW: BART SIMPSON AS “TEEN DREAM” AT NYFW BY JEREMY SCOTT

In an interview with THR, my boy Jeremy Scott reveals that Bart Simpson will be making his debut at Jeremy’s highly anticipated show next week in the form of 8 pieces for men and women. He clarifies that the collection isn’t in fact Simpson’s themed, it’s more or less inspired by computers and the way we transfer and share information.

THE GODDESS LANA DEL REY COVERS THIS MONTH’S VOGUE WITH PHOTOS BY MARIO TESTINO

The sultry saddened songstress Lana Del Rockmore Rey is everywhere right now promoting her album and it’s a bit of heaven. These photos by Mario Testino for this months issue of Vogue are out and shorty is giving it to us real hard in some red satin heels and a floral one piece (my fav) and she looks… uh-may-zing. Although it’s against my religion to venture into women’s fashion, I will certainly be popping my Vogue cherry this month and getting this issue.

FIELD TRIP: ROME!

Out of all the places we visited in Italy over the past two weeks, Rome had to have been my favorite. It was the most “city-like” and I can’t lie… the Coliseum was maybe one of the sickest things I’ve ever seen in my life. Like… not a joke – it’s def on the same level as the Jeremy Scott x 2NE1 winged shoe collabo. #dead

NEW GENT LACQUERED WATCHES FROM SWATCH

Swatch is making a hard comeback and I ain’t even mad. These have been out for a couple weeks now but I still can’t sleep on them. With successful collaborations left and right coming from Swatch, I feel like they’ve really started to step their game up. The New Gent Lacquered collection is one of the newbies and it’s exciting to see the revival.

The series of ten candy colored watches would look dope alone or stacked and could easily fit the wrist of a dude or a chick. The face is my favorite part and this Spring I’m all about yellow. It’s a little bit of early 90′s – kind of reminds me of the clear phone with the colored wires.

FIELD TRIP: SLEDDING IN BOLZANO

Yesterday we went sledding down Rittner Horn mountain near Bolzano. I was scared out of my mind at first, especially on the gondola ride to the top but once we started it was cake. There’s less oxygen at this altitude but the air is so fresh, it’s unreal. Again, I could have done without the ratty children zooming by us at lightening speed… but whatever, I’m like so one-with-nature it’s not even funny.

Shopaholics Anonymous, So Not Budget

I FOUND LOVE IN ITALY…

…In a pair of retro black and crystal plastic Gucci shades. I made the mistake of trying them on which wasn’t smart and I’m pretty certain I can attribute my restlessness last night to these bad boys. The mixture of solid color with clear and gradient tinted lenses and gold accents… it’s just the right amount of fresh to set a brotha off. I’m getting hot just thinking about it again.
