I was honored to be one of the first people to try the first of 52 Weekly Cakes, a blog started by a good friend of mine, Miss Nina Spezz, wherin she bakes one cake a week for all of 2012 for a total of 52 cakes.
The first was bacon chocolate with almond buttercream frosting. I have to admit, as someone who’s not a huge fan of bacon, I was a little apprehensive about bacon in my cake… let me be the first to assure you… it was one of the best cakes I’ve ever had. It doesn’t taste like bacon as much as it just added a little salt and I love me some salted chocolate.
